The Nigerian singer and songwriter, Burna Boy lost the Best Male International at BRIT Award 2020 to Grammy-winning American rapper, Tyler The Creator.
On January 11, 2020, Pulse revealed that the Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy was nominated for Best International Male artist at the BRIT Awards 2020 alongside Americans, Bruce Springsteen, Dermot Kennedy, Tyler The Creator and Post Malone.
This comes after Burna Boy lost the Grammy award to Angelique Kidjo.
The BRIT Awards 2020 was the 40th edition of the British Phonographic Industry’s annual pop music awards.
Jack Whitehall hosted the show for the third year running. Nominations were led by British rapper of Nigerian descent, Dave and singer, Lewis Capaldi.
Big winners of the night were Santan Dave, British-born rapper of Nigerian descent who took home the award for Album of The Year. Lewis Capaldi, Stormzy and Billie Eilish.
