Rashford’s brace helps Red Devils defeats Blues with 4-0 – Manchester United vs Chelsea

Manchester United vs Chelsea Premier League clash saw the Red Devils defeats the visitors at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford scores brace, while Daniel James and Anhony Martial sealed the win for the home team. United battle Wolverhampton Wanderers in their next EPL clash next weekend.

 

It was losing start for Frank Lampard as Chelsea were hammered 4-0 by Manchester United at Old Trafford in a tough Premier League encounter. England international Marcus Rashford opened the Red Devils just after 18 minutes into the encounter from a spot kick. The 21-year-old won a spot kick for the hosts after being hacked down by Kurt Zouma in the danger zone.

However, United were unable to increase their tally in the first half as they failed to convert more begging chances as they headed into the dressing room with a goal advantage.

Both sides resumed hostilities in the second half as they launched attacks on either side but it paid off for the hosts.

As French winger Anthony Martial taps in from Andreas Pereira’s low cross from right flank in the 57th minute and put the home team at a comfortable position.

Barely two minutes after, Rashford completed his brace in the meeting with a superb finish in the 59th minute to finally put the game out of Chelsea’s reach.

Nine minutes from time, summer signing Daniel James opened his goal account for the Old Trafford side with a stunning finish in the 81st minute. The winger benefited from Paul Pogba’s superb pass and fire home his first for the club from close range.

Up next for Man United is a trip to the Molineux Stadium for a clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers next weekend.
